Art Gallery
There's something about the little locks of hair
Not seen beneath the flowing fabrics
Of her black woolen gown
And the loose pantaloons that hide but promise
austere curves yet curves nonetheless
The hair grows long and dark and messy and
sexy and made up in a careful way so to look
much different than it seems
Aloofness is effect desired for desire and it
works
O boy, how it works.
The city outside is big and gray and the walls of this gallery
are not different and the sudden apparition of this black
soft aery hovering sight should come as no surprise
It isn't.
But it works.
O boy, how it works.

Lyrics for the album "Bulnes 12 40"
Milongueta
It's a pitty you don't like it here
They say it's the right town for romance
But do what I wouldn't do for you
And give it a second chance
Well it's the city of cities
You go out and find someone to dance
And if by the end you still haven't found love
Well you go and
Dance again
I wish I could get you a better deal
I think you deserve more than I had
But then again, it was not for me to give it
You see, I was never
Your man.
Vos y Yo
If all my follies were thus
Wouldn’t that have been enough
To redress all my sins?
That which you accuse me of
Is not an error but a fix
To bury the boredom
Of our dreams
You and I, discouragement
You and I, a task for a better man
You and I, you and I
Why must we be
So weak?
If all my follies were thus
Wouldn’t that have killed at least one of us
Ourselves so naked
Like our bodies put together
That which you congratulate me for
Is a mistake altogether or
A misconception of love
You and I
You and I
Why must we be so weak
Why must we be so weak
Why must we be so weak
Why must we be like
You and
Me?
And Her Eyes
Once there was a girl
With the golden hair
And her eyes and her eyes
Were stones and gems of golden days
And her locks and her curls
Were made to match her matchless ways
And her eyes and her eyes
Were so young were so bright
The dark blue complexion of the skies
Reflected the way she moved
Like a wave of love's soft clouds
Through which the moon lit up her eyes
And her eyes and her eyes
And her eyes
And her eyes
And her eyes
And her eyes
Like the lizard fabled queen
Face from heaven come from sand
Lured into her cave of dreams
I was loved and I was damned.
By her eyes, by her eyes
By her eyes
By her eyes
By her eyes
By her eyes.
Well Past Midnight Hour
Very early in the year
She was born with the old name
Like the city like the saint
One to never cry a tear
Holding her thoughts so near
Never fooled by the dove
That announces lust and love
Another soul kept in this town
Where hopes are all brought down
She dreams of wings to soar above
With a guitar in his right hand
He was born across the water
A place where time don’t matter
And the wind’s the sole command
A man’s a bird over the land
He looks at city malls, like they’re walls
Windmills to attack and to stand tall
He dreams of fields in boulevards
Of ox and horses instead of cars
And tales of love to hide his fall
It was well past midnight hour
Gazes crossed almost by chance
When this story commenced
The daring knight against a tower
It was well within her powers
To let this curious suitor go
But with so much to be known
Well she really couldn’t help
Better let him show himself
Than let herself be shown
Born to dance without a touch
Two bodies mirrored in their form
Though one a rose, one is a thorn
Beauty and pain attract so much
To misguide and to misjudge
Their eyes speak the tongue of love
Like they never had known of
Will they really understand
Now is this his new command
Are these her wings to soar above?
Born to dance without a touch…
I Just Want You Tonight
Leave your stepping stones behind
You can start any fire
Leave your dreams in your pillow
We don’t know where we are
Feel the scent in the air, these are
Not roses
It’s the stench of our bodies
And some old fashioned love
Say my name, say my name
In a whisper
You can float up above
You’re as hot as a star
Hold me tight, hold me tight
And then leave me
Ain’t no place where we’re going
We don’t know who we are
Leave your stepping stones behind
You can start any fire
Leave your dreams in your pillow
We don’t know where we are
Feel the scent in the air,
These are not roses
It’s the stench of our bodies
And some old fashioned love
Hold me tight, hold me tight
And then leave me
We’ll get down on our knees
And we’ll pray to the skies
Let me go, let me go
And then crave me
We’ll stand out in the rain
And we’re gonna get wet
Love me now, love me now
On the floor yeah
Ain’t no place where we’re going
I just want you tonight.
Your Own Song
Don’t lust for me so fiercely now
Don’t take me to your hold
I have seen this scene before
I’m predicting you will go
I am predicting you will go
Don’t promise me the sky and the wind
Of the prairies you came from
I’m singing your own song
So you know where I stand and I belong
Experience will condemn
The crazy rush for fleeting stars
I’ve seen too many men
And women cry on subway cars
I’m in no rush to be one of them
I’m in no rush to be one of them
I’m in no rush to be one of them
I’m in no rush
to give you my hand
Don’t pretend you know your heart
I don’t even know my own
I’m singing your own song
So you know
Where I stand and I belong
I’m in no rush to be one of them
I’m in no rush to be one of them
I’m in no rush to be one of them
I’m in no rush
to give you my hand
I’m in no rush
I’m in no rush to be one of them
I’m in no rush to be one of them
I’m in no rush to be one of them
I’m in no rush…
Lady of the Mirror
You want me to be your hero
To come boldly save your soul
But you wouldn’t take this hand and
Will not tell which way you’ll go
Must I chase your holy ghost now
The very virgin to her bed
My shoeless horses are long gone
Will I reach you when I’m dead?
Sweet Lady of the Mirror
Mother saint of all the mist
I don’t wish to be your jailor
All I wish is to be kissed
In this royal game of guesses
You set out to be the Queen
Will you have me be the Joker
When the joke is on me?
O holy bird of the horizon
Must I pay my sins in blood
I did not pick the apple
My fault is to be made of mud
Sweet Lady of the Mirror
Mother saint of all the mist
I don’t wish to be your jailor
All I wish…
Sweet Lady of the Mirror
Mother saint of all the mist
I don’t wish to be your jailor
All I wish is to be kissed
Don’t Show Me Those Eyes
Don’t show me those eyes
I will fall for you
I will take any lies
I Will take them to be true
You got that suitcase full of dreams
And a moving desire
You are changing all of your schemes
Can I leap into this fire?
So don’t tell me about your plans
Your doubts
Its it a sleight of hand?
I’ll ache and then I will fall down
You say it’s real good to know me
But do you really meant to?
I’m just too gullible and lonely
And will always fall for you
But don’t show me those eyes
And that gleam of love
If I find, to be hurt inside
I am not who you’re thinking of
So don’t tell me about your plans
Your doubts.
Its it a sleight of hand?
I’ll ache and then I will fall down
Well you could be in my dreams
If I could be in yours
And you could have all of me
If I could count on your love.
So don’t tell me about your plans
Your doubts.
Its it a sleight of hand?
I’ll ache and then I will fall down.
Boedo y Rivadavia
Nothing big happens at Avenida Boedo
An old man in an expensive suit and polished nails
Picks a coin from the ground
A young girl with shiny black hair
Walks weirdly to the weight of grocery bags
The happy couple drinking their mate
Leaves a shop where they didn’t like anything
While Caro waits for her lover in a flowery dress
Under the shade of a tree.
See those kids? They won’t stop running around
their weary mother on Easy’s doorway
They want a kart to play or an ice-cream for the heat
The dyed blond in a tiger print blouse
Hurries along with her blue headphones
For the appointment she just has got to keep
While Caro waits for her lover in a flowery dress
Under the shade of a tree.
Two workers sit in the corner and eat their empanadas
They don’t care for the noise or the dust on the street
A shopkeeper, with his hands in his hips
Talks of Sanfilippo, Scotta and the Pope
And asks how come things don’t move forward in this country
Above him, a sign says ”Días de Locura” on the marquee
While Caro waits for her lover in a flowery dress
Under the shade of a tree.
And Caro waits for her lover
in a flowery dress
Under the shade of a tree.
Strangers Again
It’s a bad night for loving angels
We heard someone down here say
We had come so far in this town
Just to find we have lost our way
We danced one night
Strangers one time
Then strangers again we were
We danced one night
Strangers one time
Then strangers again we were
Have you no love
You no love
We asked ourselves
again and again
But the night’s no place
For loving angels
We heard someone down here say
Now is it the right thing to be asking
We knew the rules of the game
The streets are full of stories like this
And those are the parts to play
We danced one night
Strangers one time
Then strangers again we were
We danced one night
Strangers one time
Then strangers again we were
Have you no love
You no love
We asked ourselves
again and again
But the night’s no place
For falling angels
We heard someone down

Segui teus passos nas ruas
De peito ancho que há
Fiz sempre os mesmos caminhos
Nem sei o que vim buscar.
Faz frio ao longe na pampa
O vento sobe a Callao
Antigos e novos fantasmas
Bailam pelo arrabal
Escoa minh’alma no Prata
Leva o que foi para o mar
Ensina-me a arte do olvido
Me deixa tudo olvidar
Ensina-me a arte do olvido
Me deixa tudo olvidar
Gira mundo, gira
É só uma história a mais
Gira mundo, gira
Me deixa deixar pra trás
Me deixa deixar pra trás
Me deixa deixar pra trás
Se é o choro que trago
O trago pra casa afinal
Aqui meus contos nasceram
Que aqui acabem igual
Escoa minh’alma no Prata
Leva o que foi para o mar
Ensina-me a arte do olvido
Me deixa tudo olvidar
Ensina-me a arte do olvido

Lyrics for "Lady of the Mirror"
You want me to be your hero
To come boldly save your soul
But you wouldn’t take this hand and
Will not tell which way you’ll go
Must I chase your holy ghost now
The very virgin to her bed
My shoeless horses are long gone
Will I reach you when I’m dead?
Sweet lady of the mirror
Mother Saint of all the mist
I don’t wish to be your jailor
All I wish is to be kissed
In this royal game of guesses
You set out to be the queen
Will you have me be the joker
When the joke is on me
O, holy bird of the horizon
Must I pay my sins in blood
I did not pick the apple
My fault is to be made of mud
Sweet lady of the mirror
Mother Saint of all the mist
I don’t wish to be your jailor
All I wish…

Don’t lust for me so fiercely now
Don’t take me to your hold

I am predicting you will go
Don’t promise me the sky

I’m singing your own song
So you know were I stand and I belong
Experience will condemn
The crazy dash for fleeting stars
I’ve seen too many men
And women cry on subway cars
I’m in no rush to be one of them
I’m in no rush to be one of them
I’m in no rush to be one of them
I’m in no rush to give you my hand

Lyrics for "Fulton Bound"
That lady on the train
Sipping coffee on her way
Croisant crumbs are all over her
She’s a mess.
But isn’t she beautiful?
Her quiet calm turns me on
Her easy gentle ways
Is what I’ve been missing so long
Come sit by my side on the subway now
Let’s talk all the way
Fulton Bound
I'm going crazy
I'm limping for fun
In Madison avenue
I can see the Chrysler building
But it doesn't look me in the eye
Just like that blonde girl
From the other poem and stuff.
Have you ever been to New York town?
BarnesandNobleApplestoreRedken
CartierFAOSchawartzSaksFifthAvenue
And the Rockefeller Centre
FOR GOD'S SAKE, THE ROCKEFELLER CENTER!
And all I care for
Are your long long legs
And your soft, wavy hair
That dances gently
Around your shoulders.
She’s a mess
But isn’t she beautiful?
All these gold haired
Blue eyed Gretls
They are killing me man!
Killing me!
Just killing me!
I ain't alright
With all them blondies around
And the bright city lights
I'm growing confused
And I'm loving it
Just killing me!
I mean, picture THAT.
That lady on the train
There's a girl in the train
Blonde, blue eyes
Looking at me
Am I pretty?
Do I look famous?
Does she know I am a genius
And can see beyond time
To what we can achieve together?
Or is it this untimely acne
Right at the tip of my nose?
Have you ever been to New York Town?
That lady on the train
Let’s talk all the way, Fulton Bound
I’m losing it, man
I’m losing it
God bless'em summer dresses
And tiny skirts
It's hot in the island
Hot town, summer in the city.
God bless the chrysler building
And grand central
Hot town, summer in the city.
God bless the ghostbusters
And the point'n'shoot camera
Hot town, summer in the city.
God bless Pershing Square
Currently undergoing roadworks
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Among the buildinds of New York.
I don’t think of you
No, New York is much too fast
But in Montreal,
Along the red maple trees,
the peace of it’s thousand gardens
It feels just like
Having you here.
